You must meet each prerequisite listed below in order to be an Enrolled Agent :
- Obtain a Personal Tax Identification Number (PTIN), which requires a valid passport
- Register for the Special Enrollment Examination (SEE)
- Achieve passing scores in all three parts of SEE
- Apply for enrollment
- Pass a suitability check
Exam Structure EA USA
The EA examination, also known as the SEE (Special Enrollment Examination), is administered by Prometric on behalf of the IRS (Internal Revenue Service).
